Impprova FAQ

What is Impprova written in? Each module is written in ASP.Net with a SQL Server backend.

How does it install in your environment? Impprova is web based and will run on your intranet. It is optional if you want to access it via a mobile solution (e.g., Blackberry, iPhone, etc.) or internet.

What business systems work with Impprova? We designed Impprova to be application independent. We can connect to any system that has structured underlying data hosting the security model. We have "hooked" into major ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite, JD Edwards, etc.), multiple consolidation tools, most major oil & gas marketing systems, all types of databases including Oracle, SQL Server, UniData, OpenLDAP, Sybase, Flat File, etc.

Who owns the code? It is up to you. We can provide the solution as compiled code only, escrow the source code, or provide the source for you to later maintain/extend.

What if I want just one or two modules? No problem! Utilize only the modules your company requires. Our priority is streamlining your business processes and Impprova is only a means to do this. We even integrate with manual processes, competing, and/or proprietary SoX/SoD tools.

How does security work with the tool? This is up to you as well (notice the trend). By default, all modules contain role based security that you configure to down to a specific function. So if you want someone to access everything or only run a single report you have the capability. Audit logs, data security, and accessibility are all items we will address to meet your business needs.

Will the tool impact the performance or modify data in my production envrionment? Impprova was designed to be Non-Intrusive. The tool only requires read-only access to production environments for Business Systems. However, per your business processes requirements, we will provide data feeds and/or integrate with auxiliary applications (e.g., ticketing systems, Active Directory, report servers).

Will my auditors rely on it? With ex-Big 4 backgrounds, we are aware that no tool or process can be initially relied upon. We do understand though how to gain that comfort, and because it is our goal to streamline your processes and reduce costs, it is an inherent part of service to implement a solution that will be relied upon.
